Upgrade Procedure

Step1. Set ip address of Switch
Console#conf
Console(config)#int vlan 1
Console(config-if)#ip address 192.168.2.10/24
Console(config-if)#end

Step2. Use TFTP to upload the jump code (ECS4150_V1.2.0.7_jump.bix)
Console#copy tftp file
TFTP server IP address: 192.168.2.188
Choose file type:
1. config; 2. opcode: 2
Source file name: ECS4150_V1.2.0.7_jump.bix
Destination file name: ECS4150_V1.2.0.7_jump.bix
Flash programming started.
Flash programming completed.
Success.
Console#

Step3. Specify ECS4150_V1.2.0.7_jump.bix to be the startup opcode and restart the switch
Console#conf
Console(config)#boot system opcode:ECS4150_V1.2.0.7_jump.bix
Success.
Console(config)#end
Console#reload
System will be restarted. Continue <y/n>? y


Step4. Enter the console and make sure the opcode is running in ECS4150_V1.2.0.7_jump.bix

Step5. Upgrade the loader code to ecs4150_ld_V0.0.1.8.bix

Console#copy tftp file

Are you sure you want to upgrade loader image (y/n)? y
Source file name: ecs4150_ld_V0.0.1.8.bix
Warning!! The file system is updating loader image to FLASH.
Please DO NOT turn off the power.
Flash programming completed.

Please DO NOT reboot the switch before you upgrade to V1.3.0.8.

Step6. Delete the runtime code ECS4150_V1.2.0.6.bix

Step8. Specify ECS4150_V1.3.0.8.bix to be the startup opcode and restart the switch
